A&J is an independently owned small business in Thomaston, Connecticut, with a lot of experience in the tree removal industry. We are fully licensed and insured.
When it comes to restoring problem areas in your property, we perform tree removal, brush chipping, brush and field mowing and stump grinding. Much of our business comes thru callbacks from happy customers and word-of-mouth recommendations.

STUMP GRINDING
Our stump grinder will chew away what remains of the trees we remove, including exposed roots. It prepares the area for re-establishing a beautiful lawn. We’ll rake up the grindings and take them away. We can also install topsoil and seed for the totally labor-free restoration of your property.
BRUSH CHIPPING
We clean up and chip the brush we make. We can also chip up larger brush pile on your property. Our equipment will handle any diameter branch. We can haul away the chips, or leave them behind for you to use.
BRUSH & FIELD MOWING
Have brambles and saplings overtaken your field? Would you like them cut clear and your field restored? We can clear anything up to five inches in diameter. Some of our customers like to be on a schedule where we keep their field cut back so the grasses can flourish. We also provide normal mowing for established fields.
CURBSIDE LEAF PICKUP
If you are a do-it-yourselfer who prefers to clean up your own leaves, we offer curbside leaf cleanup and offsite disposal using our truck mounted leaf vacuum.
TREE PLANTING
Not only do we remove trees, we plant them too. If you are looking to add some shade or color to your property, we can help.
